Being at the touching distance from Line of Control, Gulmarg is guarded by Indian army at all times. Slope of approximately 5 kilometers is ideal for skiing and it ends at the town of Tangmarg.
Pahalgam :- A 2 ½ hour cab ride from Srinagar Airport would take you to Pahalgam. Rested in nature’s motherly lap, the trips to Kashmir valley, Dabian and even Baisaran, the so called mini-Switzerland would soothe you and make you want to spend as much time here as possible. Chandanwari is a glacier and marks the start point of Amarnath Yatra. Betaab Valley is also an attraction for movie buffs for many films still get shot here. The journey to Tulian Lake, Aru valley and experience of white water rafting (if you are adventurous enough) would stay in your memory for a lifetime.
