India Gate: Another very important monument, located in the heart of Delhi is India Gate. It is built in the memory of 70,000 soldiers who lost their life in World War I. Later the Amar Jawan Jyoti (the eternal flame burning day and night) was added in 1971 as a memorial of soldiers who lost their life in the Indo -Pakistan war.
